Dedicated, solution-oriented, and eager to learn.

Michael was exposed to the world of travel and aviation at a young age. By the age of 9 he had lived in Oman, the Netherlands, and Scotland. Besides this, his Grandfather was a commercial pilot, and his Father an avid recreational pilot. His passion for aviation likely stems from there, and it is therefore no surprise he chose to pursue career in aviation.

After completing a gliding scholarship in 2012, he moved from Scotland back to the Netherlands to study Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft. During his Master’s, he specialized in Air Transport and Operations, where his thesis focused on creating a Machine Learning model for predicting Taxi-out Times at Vienna International Airport.

Having grown up near the highlands of Scotland, Michael has an affinity for the outdoors. While there is a clear lack of hills for hiking in the Netherlands, he makes up for this by going running or biking in the Dutch countryside. He is also a casual musician, gamer, and chef.
