Akos has been working for MovingDot since 2017 as an Operational Expert, Senior ATM Expert and Project Lead. He started a career as an air traffic controller more than 30 years ago and also as Supervisor at the Amsterdam Area Control Center, where he still works. It is safe to say that he has ‘OPS blood running through his veins’. During his career, he has fulfilled the role of Unit Manager Operations for ACC and is active internationally within CANSO Operations Standing Committee and IFATCA for quite some time.
His operational knowledge and experience of an ANSP and his international experience is invaluable in his role for MovingDot. In recent years, Akos has fulfilled the role of Project Manager several times, specifically in projects related to Fatigue Risk Management. These projects ranged from fatigue research in an ANSP, and development of rosters to providing fatigue awareness training and workload assessment. He is also an expert in ATC procedures, airspace design/redesign and one of the trainers for the PBN training for air traffic controllers.
Akos is very keen on enjoying beautiful things in life to the maximum and loves spending time on travelling and exceptional restaurants. Besides this, playing drums and running are hobbies as well and help with maintaining a healthy (mental) balance in life.
