Paloma’s grandfather was an Aerospace Engineer specializing in airports, so the world of aviation was close to her from a young age. As a child, she wanted to become a pilot. As she grew, she developed a strong enthusiasm for Math and Technology, which led her to study Aerospace Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She specialized in Navigation and Airspace Systems, captivated by the advanced technology that makes aircraft efficient and safe, and was eager to learn more as she delved into the topic. After several years in Madrid, she spent an academic year at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where she learned about Flight Procedure Design and discovered her new passion.
She joined MovingDot as an intern to work on her thesis, which focused on an innovative technique for approach procedures at Schiphol Airport. Now, she has become a Junior ATM Expert and is part of the FPD team. As a PANS-OPS expert, she has worked for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in the Netherlands, for the Dutch Caribbean ANSP, and on safety assessment projects for airports in France.
In her free time, she loves to go to Valencia to escape the Dutch weather for a few days. When she is not cooking the latest healthy recipe she found on social media, she stays busy training.
